Right next to MGM Grand, the Luxor definitely holds its own being next to such a large hotel. The standard rooms, the Pyramid Deluxe, overlooks the atrium and comes with either a king or two queen beds, a tube 27 inch TV and shower/tub combo. Some of the better rooms have a view of the Strip.
The suites come in a range of sizes with the smallest having separate living and bedroom areas, a color television, oversized bathroom and great views of the city. The largest suite is like a Grecian and Egyptian paradise with chaises and footstools only worthy of pharaohs. These luxurious suites have a separate living room and bedroom area, not to mention floor to ceiling windows with amazing city views. A sitting area, breakfast nook and spacious bathrooms with a separate jet tub complete the room.
They have quite an extensive nightlife, plus being situated in the middle of the Strip, all other nightclubs and bars are easily available. LAX nightclub is one of the most famous and extensive nightclubs in all of Vegas. This is the place to see and be seen. It has some of the best bottle service and is constantly being bombarded by all different types of celebrities-some who are there to just hang out and others to perform impromptu performances.
There is also Cathouse which is modeled after a 19th century bordello complete with go-go dancers and DJs playing mixes that ladies love dancing to on all types of furniture. It has been called one of the best ultra lounges in Vegas.
The dining is pretty decent for Vegas standards. They have some upscale restaurants such as TENDER steak and seafood which has amazing steaks and lobster dishes. They have a Mexican place as well that combines top class Mexican fare with rock n' roll. The Pyramid Cafe is open 24 hours for great snacks and meals on the go. The Luxor also has a food court with those cheap and accessible options for when you want that fried food after a long night on the Strip. The food is definitely delicious and always available.
To experience a bit of the Egyptian life, check out the Luxor for some great rooms and great location.
